VISION STATEMENT
We envision a school where students, parents, and staff demonstrate a relentless focus on learning and make decisions based on what is best for kids through a NO EXCUSES philosophy. To make our vision become a reality, we are committed to the following beliefs and values:

SAFE AND ORDERLY ENVIRONMENT
School-wide behavioral expectations and procedures are practiced. School community and campus visitors comply with safety and security measures. Students, parents, and staff comply with all district and school regulations and policies. Character education is used as a model for attitudes, actions, and relationships. The physical environment is aesthetically pleasing and well maintained. Students and staff model adopted, standard school attire.

PROVIDE A CLIMATE OF HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS
Students, parents, and staff respond to individual student needs to ensure mastery of curriculum standards. Staff model lifelong learning through collaboration and professional development. Staff consistently challenge students to higher levels of thinking. Staff consistently utilize effective instructional strategies, and other research-based best practices to the extent possible, special needs students will learn alongside their peers.

INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP
Students, parents, and staff are involved in the decision-making process, and provide opportunities for leadership. Positive relationships are promoted among school community members. Active participation and monitoring of the school improvement process occurs. Administration models and promotes the school, region, and district's mission and vision. Administration recognizes student and staff effort and achievement through frequent celebrations of success. Administration enforces compliance with laws, regulations, and policies regarding school operations. 

CLEAR AND FOCUSED MISSION
Students, parents, and staff demonstrate unity toward a common purpose. School community understands, models and promotes behaviors that reflect the school's mission, vision, values, and goals. School community accepts responsibility for all students and believes that all students can learn. 

OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND STUDENT TIME ON TASK
Opportunities for tutorial, enrichment, and maintenance of essential skills is offered beyond the instructional day. Productivity is maximized through the prioritization of essential school activities. Instructional strategies and groupings encourage independent and cooperative learning. Technology and a variety of other resources are used in daily instructional practices. A diverse and balanced curriculum is aligned throughout all subject areas, and grade levels. 

FREQUENT MONITORING OF STUDENT PROGRESS
Varied and frequent assessments are administered at all grade levels. Disaggregated data is used in making decisions that impact the instructional program. Through collaboration, the most effective instructional strategies are determined and considered for replication. Individual student needs are addressed through immediate feedback and adjustments in instructional programming. 

HOME SCHOOL RELATIONS
Frequent, effective, and ongoing communication between home and school includes the use of technology. School-wide student planners and agendas are used in the communication process. Parent volunteers are recruited. Parents are active participants in their child's instructional program, and frequently monitor his/her progress.
